Framer portfolio templates for designers, photographers and writers
Nine Framer portfolio templates I made, who each one suits, and how to fill one with work people finish reading.

What a portfolio has to do
A portfolio gets looked at for under a minute before someone decides whether to keep going. In that minute it has to say what you do, show your best work and make it easy to get in touch.
Everything else is in service of those three things. A good Framer portfolio template gets you there on day one, and leaves you free to spend your time on the work and the words.
For designers and art directors

Wren Navarro, $49, is an editorial portfolio set like a printed page, for brand, editorial and type designers. A huge condensed name opens it. Hovering a client’s name brings up a project image that follows the cursor, and the about section is written as a signed letter, followed by a career timeline.
Quota DE, free, is for design engineers who design in Figma and build in code. Each case file leads with the outcome and tells the story in seven parts. There’s a playground for small experiments, and six colour combinations checked for contrast.

Playmat TCG, free, turns a designer’s portfolio into a trading card game. Visitors tear open a foil pack to find your card, then flip through projects in a binder, colour coded by discipline. It suits brand, packaging and product designers who want to be remembered.
For photographers

Ferreira, $49, opens on a full-screen name and a single portrait, then gets out of the way of the pictures. The work grid filters by category, and an index of project names previews each cover. A Prints page lets the portfolio sell work too, with sizes, edition counts, prices and sold-out badges.
For writers and consultants

Nell Prior, $69, is for ghostwriters and LinkedIn writers. It shows the process clients pay for: a voice note that becomes a post, a chat thread that plays out a real week and a scoreboard of results from January to September.
Maren Holt, $79, is for fractional CMOs and consultants. The site is built around an org chart with your seat already filled, and the price is written as an invoice. You can see it on my work page.
For résumés and job hunting
Quota GTM, free, is a résumé site for GTM engineers and ops people. It leads with your four strongest numbers, each with context. Case files show the problem, the build and the result, and a sidebar keeps a Download CV button in reach.
For creators and studios
Homescreen, free, is a UGC creator portfolio that looks like a desktop. Windows fold into the dock, a vertical video reel has real controls, and a price builder lets brands put a package together.
MATTER Mono, free, is a monochrome portfolio for small studios, with the whole story on one home page and a detail page for each project.
Five great projects beat fifteen good ones.
How to write a case study people finish
Start with the result. One line on what changed for the client, with a number if you have one.
Then the problem. Two or three sentences. What wasn’t working and why it mattered.
Show the work, big. Let the images carry most of the page.
Explain one or two decisions. Why this type, why this layout. That’s what shows how you think.
End with a quote from the client, if you can get one.
How many projects to show
Four to six, chosen for the work you want more of. If you show logos and you want websites, you’ll get logos. Cut anything you wouldn’t be happy to do again.
What a portfolio costs on Framer
Wren Navarro, Maren Holt, Nell Prior, Quota GTM, Playmat TCG and MATTER Mono use two CMS collections or fewer, so they run on Framer Basic at $10 a month with your own domain. Ferreira, Quota DE and Homescreen use three or four, so they need Pro at $30 a month. The Framer pricing guide lists every template.
Can I use a Framer portfolio template for free?
Yes. Quota DE, Playmat TCG, Quota GTM, Homescreen and MATTER Mono are free to remix, and Framer is free to publish on a framer.website address.
Is Framer good for a portfolio?
It’s one of the best tools for it. Portfolios live or die on layout, type and motion, and that’s where Framer is strongest.
Should my portfolio have a blog?
Only if you’ll write in it. An empty journal looks worse than none. A few honest posts about your process can help people find you in search.
Can you set up a portfolio for me?
Yes. Template Setup is $249. I put your projects, copy and images into any of my templates and connect your domain.
Browse all of them in my templates, see more in free Framer templates worth using, or start a project for a portfolio made from scratch.
