Who it's for
Festivals, venues programming a run of shows, and anyone putting on a single multi-act night. It suits an event with more than one performer and more than one time slot. For a single show on a single night, this is more structure than you need, and one of the music templates will get you there faster.
It is also the right starting point for a label night or a self-promoted show, which need the same lineup-and-schedule shape as a festival at a smaller scale.
How to customise it
Lock the schedule structure before you write any copy. It is the one part that changes shape rather than wording when the bill moves, and every event bill moves. Get the day and stage layout matching your actual programme first, then fill it in.
Put the ticket link in before anything else, even if it is a placeholder. An event site that looks finished but sends people nowhere is worse than an obviously unfinished one, and a placeholder you can see is harder to forget than a blank you cannot.
On the day itself, almost all your traffic is mobile, and much of it is on bad reception at a venue. Check the mobile breakpoint properly, and keep the schedule readable without zooming.
